Pool Pump Repair
There are more than 600,000 pools in Arizona. Pools are a great way to get out of the heat and enjoy summer without overheating. While pools provide great entertainment value, they are an investment and require constant maintenance and upkeep. One of the most important parts to any pool is the pump and filtration system. For a pool to stay clean and enjoyable, the water needs to be recirculated and filtered through a pump and filter. Each pool is different, and so the equipment that runs the pool is selected to fit each unique pool.
Pool pumps can last many years, but in the Arizona sun their life expectancy varies quite a bit. Depending on the location of the equipment, the sun exposure, and the frequency of use, pumps can last anywhere from 2-3 years, all the way up to 10 plus years. If a pump stops working or is having problems, it can easily be repaired or replaced. Depending on the condition of the pump, it may be able to be repaired by installing a new impeller or replacing the motor. In some cases it is necessary to replace the entire pump.
Another integral piece to a pool system is the plumbing. Again, in the Arizona heat PVC pipe can deteriorate over time and may need replacing. Pipe and fittings are easily repaired and can also be protected to prevent future deterioration. Underground leaks are a little harder to repair because they first have to be found and uncovered, but once they are exposed, the repair is just as easy as any other repair.
